Everything You Should Know About Blockchain Technology and How It Works?

These days, cryptocurrency and blockchain are buzzwords. While cryptocurrencies as a concept has been a little easier to grasp, the blockchain technology that cryptocurrency is based on has been a little more difficult to grasp. Blockchain can be characterised as a database that stores data in blocks in its most basic form. The information is stored in these blocks in a way that makes hacking, cheating, and changing the system impossible. The word blockchain comes from the fact that the blocks of data form a chain.

How Does It Work?

A blockchain is a digital ledger that keeps track of all transactions that take place on the network. These transactions are then copied and reflected throughout all blockchain-enabled computer systems. When a new transaction is completed, the blockchain records the information on that participant's block, which is then reflected across all digital ledgers on the network. All transaction data on the blockchain platforms can be accessible from anywhere in the world.

When data is stored in a block, an irreversible timestamp is created when it joins the chain.  The Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is a decentralised database that is administered by various contributors (DLT).

When it comes to cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology is inherently utilised to store information connected to investor transactions. Transaction histories, legal contracts, transcripts, and goods inventories are all stored on the cryptocurrency blockchain.

Advantages Of Blockchain :

The blockchain technology is highly secure and transparent. Information stored on the blockchain network is accessible to all users that are a part of the network. Because the technology is decentralised, no single governing entity has access to all of the data and information. Instead, there are various parties who have unrestricted access to the blockchain's data. Because the blocks are linked, it is difficult to hack and corrupt blockchain. To tamper with one block, the hacker would have to tamper with all of the other blocks on the network.
